Mr. Takayuki Shiina GLASS-LAB representative.
In Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Tokyo, there is Shiina Glass Co., Ltd, founded in 1950, which performs glass processing mainly including glass processing called flat facet and restoration of broken glass.
And Takayuki who was the founder's grandson started was GLASS-LAB which makes original glass production for gifts and presents.
This time, we interviewed Mr. Takayuki Shiina representative of Grass Lab.
All the machines move with one belt!
It seems like We got lost in the story world ･･･.
In the past, the quality of the glass products themselves was bad and there were many gritty, so it was necessary to polish the surface with a processing place like Shiina Glass.
At this processing plant, in the peak period eight craftsmen were processing glassware sent in large quantities from morning till evening from next to next.Therefore, what was thought to improve efficiency was a device that connects multiple machines with a single belt and moves all machines with only one motor.
At the moment when Mr. Shiina turns on the switch at the back of the processing place, the operating sound of the motor feels somewhat nostalgic, and it seems that the belt started sliding on the roller busily, the four aligned polishing machines began to rotate all at once.
It was such a strange sight that seemed to have been seen only in the story.
